Green Party calls for conference
The Island could lead the way for small countries in efforts to tackle climate change.
That's the view of Isle of Man Green Party Leader Andrew Newton.
He's suggesting the establishment of a forum on the Island which invites other small island states to learn about and adapt to the threat of climate change.
Mr Newton says he'd like to see a regular small state 'climate conference' to take place, similar to the Manx business sector's international meetings on financial prudence.
As a wealthy nation he believes the Island should be setting an example:
