Leader of Douglas Council discusses new Three Legs of Mann feature
The lighting column on the roundabout by the Isle of Man Sea Terminal 'needed to be replaced anyway', according to the leader of Douglas Council.
A new one was installed earlier this month, designed in the style of the Three Legs of Mann.
It cost £36,000, and has received criticism online over the amount spent on it and its appearance.
But Devon Watson says public opinion is mixed:
During the programme Mr Watson described the lighting column as a 'DOI project', however a spokesperson for the department has told Manx Radio it is not a DOI scheme and was paid for and installed by Douglas City Council.
