Today's changes bring little relief to those affected
Some businesses along Douglas promenade have described the ongoing refurbishment scheme as an 'absolute nightmare'.
It's as traffic along the seafront can now head in both directions, north and south, however Broadway remains closed until the end of October.
Vicky O'Dell of Christopher's Dry Cleaners says today's changes have had no positive effect on her business, and believes the reopening of Broadway needs to be made a priority:
Debby Kelly-Banks of Bon Fabrics says the business adapted during lockdown, to deliver their products around the island, and occasionally had to make drop-offs for customers in the Sea Terminal Car Park.
Mrs Kelly-Banks says the main gripe amongst customers visiting the town centre is the lack of parking:

The promenade refurbishment scheme is due to be completed by Easter 2021.
