Infrastructure minister David Cretney will seek approval to spend more than £1.6 million on the first phase of a scheme to transform the prom, from the Sea Terminal to Regent Street.
He'll also ask for an additional £1.7 million to add to the highways improvement budget - as part of a strategic programme.
