Campaigner urges focus on people not cars
The man at the head of a campaign which was opposed to many aspects of the promenade redevelopment plan says the scheme was flawed from the start.
Murray Lambden claims it wasted large amounts of time and government money and should never have been submitted.
Mr Lambden has championed public open spaces on the Island and says the value of the promenade has been vastly underestimated by government over the years.
He adds that if there's a real desire to come up with a bold and inspiring plan, then cars shouldn't be the driving force in its design.
