Legislation moves to clauses stage
Political progress in reforming the Island's abortion laws has been welcomed by campaigners.
Supporters of change filled the gallery in the House of Keys yesterday, (Tues 30th) as members unanimously approved a new bill's second reading.
The legislation will progress to its clauses stage next month.
One of those present yesterday was Douglas woman Deborah McCann, who underwent a termination after being attacked as a teenager.
She says the reproductive rights of women are paramount.
