A bid to encourage the owner of the Solway Harvester to give evidence at the inquest into the tragedy could move a step closer today (Monday).
Procedural issues will be discussed at Kirkcudbright Sheriff Court in Scotland ahead of a hearing, due to begin on June the 23rd, when Richard Gidney is expected to be questioned.
The Island's Coroner of Inquests, Michael Moyle, applied to the Court of Session in Edinburgh for Mr Gidney to give evidence after he refused to attend.
The Solway Harvester (pictured) sank 11 miles off the Island in January 2000, killing all seven crew on board.
