Minister issues reassurance to Tynwald committee
The health minister has confirmed the Private Patients' Unit is on course to reopen this summer.
David Ashford was questioned about it by Julie Edge MHK, during a public hearing of a Tynwald committee:
Ms Edge expressed her concerns about the short timescales involved with the project, given that the procurement exercise to decide who will run the facility, led by the Attorney General's office, is set to take place in March.
But, speaking to Manx Radio, minister Ashford was adamant work is still on schedule:
