The Crowther Clinic will focus on joint and headache pain relief
A new dedicated joint and headache pain relief clinic for private patients is being launched by Hospice Isle of Man.
It's hoped the Crowther Clinic will help generate crucial funds for Hospice Isle of Man.
The charity says chronic and acute pain have long been under-treated, which can lead to significant physical, psychological and social challenges.
The Crowther Clinic aims to address these issues by offering quick access to doctors trained in pain management.
It's been named in honour of Nadene Crowther - who founded the Hospice movement in the Isle of Man - and will be based within the Hospice building in Strang.
No money raised for the charity will be used to fund it, with all revenue instead being generated from the clinic itself.
Anything extra will be reinvested directly into Hospice Isle of Man to support the free delivery of essential palliative care services.
John Knight is the Chief Executive of Hospice Isle of Man:
The Crowther Clinic will hold its first appointments on Thursday 12 June, and more information can be found here.
