A Douglas man charged with harassment has been warned he will spend Christmas in prison if he doesn't behave.
Paul Hamblett, of Port-e-Chee Avenue, admitted committing the offence between April last year and September this year.
The court heard that since the breakdown of a relationship Hamblett had regularly contacted his former partner, despite repeated requests from her to stop.
After being cautioned in June, he made abusive comments to the woman in a pub in September.
Hamblett has been bailed to appear in court again on January 12, on the condition he does not contact her directly or indirectly.
