Police say their investigation is continuing after an inmate at Jurby prison died yesterday.
Officers were called to the jail at 9.30 yesterday morning and are conducting enquiries about the circumstances leading up to the man’s death on behalf of the Coroner of Inquests.
Officers say his next of kin have been informed, but they won’t be naming him until he’s been formally identified by his family.
He has been named unofficially on social media sites, but police are urging people not to speculate on the potential cause of his death.
