Almost £11,500 was awarded to Manx-registered overseas charities last night (Tuesday), thanks to the efforts of high school and college students in the Isle of Man.
Six teams competed in the final of the 2011 One World Charity Challenge at the Manx Museum.
QEII's winning presentation won a donation of £2,200 for the Send a Cow charity, with an equal sum going to the Grace Third World Fund, championed by the runners-up, a team from the Isle of Man College.
Organiser Professor Hugh Davidson said there were many imaginative presentations this year:
