£50 silver coin specially minted to mark Armistice centenary
Two specially minted £50 coins, commemorating the centenary of the end of the First World War, have been unveiled at a ceremony at the Tynwald buildings.
The silver pieces were presented to the Isle of Man County President for the Royal British Legion, and the Speaker of the House of Keys, for the people of the Isle of Man.
Two more of the coins, which feature poppies in gold plating, will be given to the President of the UK Royal British Legion, and the Chief of the General Staff.
Speaker Juan Watterson says the piece will be put on display for the public to see:
