Tony Brown claims pensioners are targeted
A former MHK and Chief Minister says he's "astounded" at the current proposals for changes to prescription charges, which he claims are "appalling"
Tony Brown has made a statement about the proposed changes, currently out for consultation, which would see the contributions residents pay towards their medicines rise by a third.
Annual prepaid prescription vouchers would also increase by £6 and pensioners under the age of 75, and pregnant women, would no longer be exempt from the contributions.
Whilst nothing has been decided at this stage, Mr Brown says he believes those least able to pay are being targeted once again.
