
Education Minister Tim Crookall says twice as many people have been able to access preschool provision since its privatisation.
The first year of private nursery classes started in September after former minister Peter Karran announced the government would no longer supply free provision.
Instead, parents have been able to apply for funding under a voucher system which they can spend with private operators.
