Residents evacuated while emergency services dealt with incident
Residents of Port-E-Chee Avenue were evacuated from their homes while the emergency services dealt with an incident involving potentially unstable chemicals.
The emergency services cordoned off the area yesterday afternoon, with those who live nearby being cleared from their homes as a precaution.
It was confirmed a short time later that the substance had been safely disposed of.
The police insist there was no risk to residents or public health as a result of the incident.
