Callister says figure quoted in Tynwald wrong
The £33,000 average salary for postal workers quoted by chair Julie Edge in Tynwald on Tuesday has been questioned.
Post Office staff in the public gallery could be heard dismissing the claim.
It's since emerged that the employer pension contribution of 15% is included in the figure.
The amount is therefore the average cost of each worker at the Post Office rather than an average wage.
Onchan MHK and political member at the Department for Enterprise Rob Callister says that's not how it came across in Tynwald.
