After months of wrangling, a pay dispute between the Isle of Man Post Office and its staff has been resolved.
The Communications Workers Union has settled for a 3.5 per cent increase in basic pay.
The agreement is effective from April 1 this year, and there will be a reduction in the overall workforce through natural wastage.
CWU assistant secretary Terry Pullinger, who is at the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool, says the discussions were far from easy:
