
The chairman of the Post Office has been summoned by a Tynwald committee to explain the decision to close two Crown post offices in the Island.
Graham Cregeen will be questioned by the Public Accounts Committee this afternoon, along with Post Office Chief Executive Mike Kelly.
Mr Cregeen announced last week the flagship offices in Douglas and Ramsey will close early next year, and the business transferred to new, sub post office branches in Spar stores nearby.
The committee is due to sit in the Legislative Council Chamber on Bucks Road in Douglas from 2.30pm.
Meanwhile, the Liberal Vannin Party says too much is still unknown about the controversial decision to close the two key post offices.
