Juan McGuinness hopes people will step forward to fill the vacant seat
A Ramsey Commissioner says the 'pros' of joining a local authority and trying to help the town 'far outweigh' the negatives.
Juan McGuinness believes the election process is 'fundamental' to democracy on the Island and hopes more than one person will stand.
The commissioners' South Ward currently has one vacant seat left following April's elections, and those standing have until 1pm on Wednesday 18 June to submit their forms.
Mr McGuinness says 'giving back' to the community is one of the most important things someone can do.
