Port St Mary goes to the polls on Monday.
The polling station at the Living Hope Church Hall in Bay View Road will be open from 8am until 8pm.
The two candidates vying to become a village commissioner are thirty-nine year-old Martin Kennaugh and 25 year-old Helena Perry, both financial administrators.
The by-election was called when Ray Lakeman stepped down from the board.
Both candidates admit those at local authority level can still make a difference.
