Over 1,000 files were retrieved by police
A Port Erin man has appeared in court accused of installing a hidden camera in a woman's bedroom.
Martyn Bourner, of Orchard Road, appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday (30 April) charged with burglary with intent to install a surveillance device.
The 34-year-old allegedly entered her bedroom several times over a prolonged period of time, altering the camera's position.
Over 1,000 files were retrieved by police from his home computer when executing a search warrant earlier this week.
Imposing strict bail conditions, Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood said the complainant 'is going to feel, very understandably, that her home has been violated'.
Bail was granted until his next court appearance on 14 May; during which time the charge will be reviewed.
