Chair Hannah Mackenzie believes decisions made can be 'crucial' for the community
The chair of Port Erin Commissioners says joining the board is 'worthwhile' and decisions made have a 'real impact' on the community.
Hannah Mackenzie says the local authority has a number of powers including maintaining green spaces and supporting events which are run in the village.
Port Erin Commissioners is one of five local authorities looking to fill vacant seats left following April's elections and nomination papers can be submitted from today (11 June) until the 18 of this month.
Mrs Mackenzie believes people who can bring new ideas to the board should consider standing, whilst vice chair Barbara Guy says the commissioners need a 'full complement' to operate properly.
