Update on economic strategy due in Tynwald
Plans to grow the Isle of Man’s population to 100,000 are flawed according to a former government economist.
The idea was unveiled as part of a new economic strategy by Chief Minister Alfred Cannan’s administration last year.
But John Webster has told Manx Radio aiming for growth at a time when essential services, and infrastructure, are already struggling to cope is not the right approach.
