Politicians field more than 100 questions for government

Silt, speed cameras, and the homeless among topics posed

Government has been asked more than 100 written questions in Tynwald this month, covering quarantine checks, housing and employments.  

September's paper sees Douglas Central member Chris Thomas pose more than 30 queries, with Arbory, Castletown and Malew member Jason Moorhouse just behind with more than 25.

Issues raised include the future of silt at Rockmount, testing of speed cameras in rural areas, as well as accommodation for the homeless during lockdown.

It's the second month in a row where MHKs and MLCs have broken the 100-question barrier, with Tynwald members enjoying a summer recess until October.
