Don't suffer in silence say officers
The police are urging those who have suffered sexual abuse to contact them, no matter how long ago it happened.
Their comments come after a man was yesterday sentenced to five years and five months in prison for indecent assault on a child and possessing indecent images of children.
The indecent assaults happened in the early 1990s.
