Cases of livestock worrying on rise
As the lambing season approaches, dog owners are being reminded to be responsible when near sheep.
Police have released a statement urging people to be wary of the risks of having dogs near ewes and lambs.
Cases of livestock worrying have been up in recent years with 40 such incidents reported between 2014 and 2016.
These have varied from attacks on individual animals to the loss of entire flocks.
"We think it's inhumane the way he was treated."
