Fortnight's trial from Friday
The police are going to try out a drone at the Festival of Motorcycling.
Inspector Allan Thompson says it will be used to help gather evidence at crash scenes and crime scenes, and help search for missing people.
It's hoped the drone will reduce the demands on officers, and help get roads open more quickly if they've been closed following a crash.
The police have been working with the Isle of Man Civil Aviation Administration to ensure it's operated safely.
