Post around doorstep collection received user backlash

Police say the guidance around online 'buy & sell' sites offering doorstep collections stands.

They've repeated that the public should stay at home 'unless it is to attend a place of work or to go shopping or another essential/emergency reason'.

'We would not expect people to be travelling to other households to deliver or pick up items.'

After some backlash by site users, officer says the given government advice stands, and is based on public health guidance designed to stop virus spread. 

Some say they use the sites to buy necessities, and police have pointed out that financial assistance is available through the state, and that the measures are only temporary'.
