Police are continuing to piece together the final hours before the death of former Heron and Brearley boss Eddie Ardern, whose body was found on the shore below Onchan Head.
A search for the 61-year-old was launched on Thursday night, after concerns were raised for his safety.
Teams of officers from the police, ambulance, coastguard, lifeboat and civil defence scoured the cliffs and coastline near the old holiday camp below the Onchan to Groudle road.
Mr Ardern's car was parked nearby.
His body was later recovered from the water's edge by a lifeboat crew.
