Police show tram and car crash video as warning

Warning around extra busy summer tram season

Island police have issued a warning to drivers, with a video of a tram and car crash:

The video shows the car turning into the path of an electric tram in Laxey.

In a social media post officers say they've recently dealt with a court case when a man was charged with driving without due care.

The message, says the constabulary, is for drivers to be aware of trams especially during the busier summer months.

It adds that in this case it was fortunate no one was harmed.
