Ten dodgy drivers caught in two hour
Police say they're stunned after 10 drivers carrying UK number plates were stopped for driving without paying Manx tax, or registering their vehicles.
All the errrant motorists were caught within the first 90 minutes of a three-day operation - which concludes tomorrow (23 March).
One of those pulled over owed several thousands of pounds in unpaid tax.
Officers say they didn't believe it was a serious problem in the Isle of Man, until dedicated staff were deployed to clamp down on evaders.
They advise that upon bringing a UK car here, it should be registered with the Vehicle Test Centre within 12 weeks.
