
Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious accident on the main Douglas to Peel Road last night.
It happened at around 11.20pm, between the Highlander and Greeba Castle, and involved a red Ford Fiesta which was being driven by a woman from Peel.
She was still in Noble's Hospital earlier today, although the extent of her injuries isn't known.
A woman who was a passenger in the car was released after treatment.
The road was closed for three and a half hours while officers investigated the collision.
