
Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident on the Mountain Road yesterday.
It happened at around 5.40pm when a dark coloured Ford Escort, being driven by a 21 year-old man from Douglas, crashed near the Mountain Box.
The front seat passenger in the car, another Douglas man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A section of the route was closed for over three hours while police carried out enquiries and the Department of Transport repaired the road.
Police are appealing for three motorcyclists who were travelling behind the car before the collision to get in touch.
