MLC criticises past behaviour of officers as first responders
Police handling of mental health call-outs has in the past been 'appalling' and 'Victorian', according to a member of the Legislative Council.
Bill Henderson MLC is a former psychiatric nurse with 20 years' experience in mental health support services.
He was speaking this week at the Tynwald inquiry into suicide.
