Dozens pulled over in crackdown
More than 100 motorists were pulled over last night, as part of the police's annual festive safety campaign.
Officers spoke to dozens of motorists, carrying out breathalyser and drug driving tests - but say none were found to be intoxicated.
A handful were booked for other traffic offences.
This weekend is traditionally one of the busiest of the year for the force, with the Christmas party season in full swing.
Many of those stopped reportedly remarked they were 'glad' to see police out doing their jobs.
