Public seek Bonfire Night advice
Police in the north of the Island say they've had numerous calls to the station regarding the letting off of fireworks, and particularly about seeking permission to let off fireworks at this time of year.
Officers say there is no offence applicable, and written permission to use fireworks is not required between Friday 2 November and Monday 12 November this year.
That's in accordance with section four of the Fireworks Act 2004.
Police do however ask that the public is responsible and respectful in relation to the use of fireworks throughout the period.
