
Police are appealing for people to remain calm after rumours of attempted child abductions swept social media.
Inspector Mark Britton says so far all of the reports about a man and a woman in a blue car in Pulrose at the end of last week remain unconfirmed.
But he says police take all such reports seriously, and they are looking into the matter.
