Move follows complaints of motorists in vehicles with illegal modifications
Police patrols have been increased on Battery Pier in Douglas in a bid to tackle anti-social driving.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are taking the action in response to complaints of some motorists driving in the area with illegal modifications on their cars.
Patrols include marked and unmarked vehicles, with recording equipment, as well as foot patrols by uniform and plain clothes officers.
The constabulary says those found to be committing driving offences will be dealt with 'robustly'.
