Police are investigating a dog attack in Douglas last night (Sunday).
A resident was out walking her dog at the end of Urley Path, near Anagh Coar School, when her dog was attacked by a Rottweiler which was roaming the streets without an owner.
It happened around 9.45pm.
The woman suffered minor injuries but police are concerned it could have more serious if a child had been attacked by the dog.
Officers would like to hear from any Rottweiler owners in the area, or anyone who witnessed the attack.
They also want information about the dog responsible and its owner.
All information will be treated in the strictest confidence.
The numbers to ring are 631212 for Police Headquarters in Douglas, and 0800 555 111 for the anonymous Crimestoppers line.
