It's been confirmed the Island's Chief Constable is on sick leave.
In response to recent speculation, the Department of Home Affairs has today issued a short release to say Mike Culverhouse has been signed off sick since August 20.
His role is being filled by his deputy, Mike Langdon, who has been made Acting Chief Constable.
It emerged this week Mr Culverhouse will leave the force when his contract expires at the end of the year after eight years at the helm.
