It happened on in Douglas yesterday afternoon
Police have confirmed an investigation has taken place, after a video posted to social media lead to concerns for the welfare of a dog on Woodbourne Road.
The post had amassed more than 850 interactions, with many calling for the animal to be checked.
Officers say, following a visit, the dog was found to be safe and well.
The Constabulary is asking the public not to speculate further on the incident.
