The Isle of Man Constabulary is hoping the Manx public can help with efforts to find the family of a former sergeant.
Officers are currently in possession of several personal artefacts that once belonged to Sergeant John Stanley Quaye, which they would like to return to his relatives.
John was born on 22 December 1901 and passed away at the age of 72.
He began his career with the Isle of Man Constabulary in 1917 as a cadet, and was appointed a constable in 1924.
Over the course of a 39 year career, he became a well-known and respected member of the force.
He spent the final 10 years of his active service in Onchan, before retiring to Governors Road.
