Incident saw Tholt-Y-Will backroad closed for several hours
Police are appealing for help in establishing the exact circumstances of a road traffic collision which occurred on Friday evening (5 June).
Two motorcycles, which were being ridden by two male off-Island residents, collided on the A14 Tholt-Y-Will backroad between the Bungalow and Sulby crossroads at around 5pm.
Each of the riders involved received medical treatment at the scene, with one then transferred to the UK as a result of his injuries.
The road remained closed for several hours whilst collision investigation officers undertook necessary examinations at the scene.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Craig, who is overseeing the investigation, is calling for anyone who may have either witnessed the collision, or who has Dash Cam or Go-Pro footage, to make contact with the Roads Policing Unit at Douglas Police Headquarters on (01624) 631212, quoting reference 97/4070/26.
