Rock 'the size of a tennis ball' hit car in Fenella car park on Wednesday
The Isle of Man Constabulary is appealing for witnesses after a rock 'the size of a tennis ball' smashed through a car window in Peel last week.
The red Lexus UX was parked on the seaward side of Fenella Beach car park on Wednesday (9 July), around 9:20pm, when a rock was thrown or kicked from the cliffs above.
Officers say the 'distance from the cliff and the location of where the vehicle was parked rules out falling debris or accidental dislodging', adding that it 'could have caused serious injury if it had hit a person below'.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212, quoting reference number 97/5148/25.
Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
