
The Isle of Man Constabulary's Public Protection Unit hopes the guilty verdicts at the end of a recent child abuse trial will encourage others who have suffered in a similar way to come forward.
On Monday, 66 year-old Bride man Stuart Clayton Christian was convicted on twelve counts of indecent assault on a young girl in the early to mid 1980s.
The Unit's Detective Sergeant Cathryn Bradley says the verdicts show that such cases can be successful, regardless of how long ago events occurred, and she is making the following plea (audio file attached):
