Robinson's rolling out packaging-free produce across Island
A Manx food retailer says it's seen demand for packaging-free items across the Island, despite a mixed response to an initial trial in Douglas.
Robinson's Fresh Food initially offered its produce without plastic trays, bags or wrapping at Shoprite's Victoria Road store.
Last week, Tesco announced plans to remove plastic from packaging across its stores, including in the fruit and veg section.
Robinson's retail director Ross Williamson revealed this is something Manx shoppers can expect to see more of among its produce at other stores:
