It's 100 years to the day since the first powered flight from the Isle of Man.
On July 4, 1911 pioneer aviator Claude Grahame-White lifted off from Noble's Park in a rudimentary bi- plane.
A plaque is being unveiled in the park to commemorate the 100th anniversary and members of the Discovery space shuttle crew, who are on the Island for Tynwald Week, will be there to salute their predecessor.
Meanwhile, a special exhibition of photographs has gone on display at the Manx Aviation and Military Museum near Ronaldsway Airport.
Several photos were taken of the historic first flight and museum director Ivor Ramsden says they have been included (listen to audio file below):
