Plans to 'open up and speed up' green living scheme

Minister admits current approach 'too prescriptive'

There are plans to 'open up and speed up' a scheme which helps residents fit more energy-efficient measures into their homes.

The enterprise minister has admitted the Green Living Grant Scheme is 'too prescriptive' in its current format.

Back in January over 1300 people were awaiting a home energy audit - something required to access support under the initiative.
