
Social care minister Martyn Quayle says he’s cutting benefits for young people out of work to make sure they’ll be better off in a job.
Under plans revealed by his department, Mr Quayle says he’ll ask for Tynwald’s permission to cut income support and jobseeker’s allowance to under-25s.
He says the department’s also planning a system where benefits could be further slashed if claimants aren’t actively looking for work.
